TWO New Immunization Requirements for 7th Grade School Entry Beginning July 1, 2015 (MCV and Tdap)
Children who start 7th grade on or after July 1, 2015 will be required to have vaccines recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to protect them from serious diseases. Students entering 7th grade will be required to have one dose each of Tdap (tetanus, diphtheria, pertussis) and meningococcal (MCV: meningitis) vaccines if they have not previously received these vaccines.
Your child will have to provide proof of vaccination on the first day of school. Please remember to bring your child's shot record for school entry. You can get your child's shot record from his/her doctor or the local health department.
The Rising 6th Grade Open House will be held on Wednesday, April 29th (last names A-M) and Thursday, April 30th (last names N-Z) at 6:00 pm. Parents only should join us for an information session and tour of the school. Click Here for more information. We look forward to seeing you!
